Boat Moving & Updates

Well the fall season is a wrap.  Great job!

Our next task is to move the boats inside for the winter.  The main concrete docks down at Zuanich are being replaced so we need to move the float our boats sit on so they can do the work.  The plan is to move the boats into the old Redden building near the Squalicum boat launch next Monday at 10:30.  Our hope is that most of you will be available since there is no school that day.  It will take a few hours to do this, so all the help we can get is appreciated.

Please let me know if you are not able to make it next Monday (11/11) at 10:30.

Also, some of the techshirts ordered from last spring are still on back order and the latest update is they will be available in February.  But we have some and are getting those printed this week.  The rest of you we will be contacting to see if you want to continue the wait or get refunded.

Spring Schedule:
Here is the first draft of the spring schedule.  This will likely change a bit, but should be fairly close.

SAT Dates

Team,

I just wanted to make some recommendations for scheduling SAT testing. Below are dates and recommendations to avoid conflict with sailing.

TEST DATES
December 7, 2019 (Registration Deadline Nov 8th) - THIS IS THE BEST OPTION, SCHEDULE THIS NOW!
March 14, 2020 (Registration Deadline Feb 14) - THIS WILL CONFLICT WITH A REGIONAL REGATTA.
May 2, 2020 (Registration Deadline April 3, 2020) - THIS IS BAD.  IT WILL CONFLICT WITH DISTRICTS.  DON'T SCHEDULE THIS DATE.
June 6, 2020 (Registration Deadline May 8) - THIS OPTION IS FINE, WE WILL BE DONE.

Anyone good at welding?

As you might have noticed we could use another boat trailer.  My hope is to buy a trailer and build a rack on top.  The rack would need to be welded so I am seeing if anyone has good experience with this?  The rack would look like this:

Also, we still are looking for someone going to Seattle this week that could pick up an empty boat trailer. Let me know.

PARENTS- I have a few things I need help with:
1. Let me know if you can town a trailer of boats down this weekend.
2. We need to grab a three boat trailer from Seattle sometime this week.  If you will be down in Seattle at some point and could tow back a trailer please let me know.
3. I need a parent or two to chaperone on Saturday evening.

Schedule:
We will meet at Sehome haggens on Saturday morning at 7am.  Carpool from there.
Saturday after racing we will be staying at the Waldorf school right at SSP.
Sunday we will race until 3, get awards, pack up and head home.
Plan also for some boat unloading Sunday evening also so we save time and can get out on the water quick at practice.

Register:
Some of you have already registered which is great.  For the rest, now is the time to register.  For the FJ fleet, the skipper who is listed first above needs to register and arrange for the crew to pay them back.   Use the sail number above when registering. If you are crewing or one of the extras please bring $40 to pay back your skipper.  Registration is at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/8FCApf7QHf

What to bring:
Sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, all sailing gear, life jacket, wetsuit, $40 for entry, $10 for housing, some extra cash to get breakfast Sunday morning.

Entry fee covers lunch both days, dinner sat, light meal sunday, a t-shirt, and prizes!

Boat Loading:
We will be loading FJs Thursday after practice.

If you have any questions please let me know.
