Regatta this weekend & more updates.

Hello Sailors!

Volunteering with the CBC
If you are interested in volunteering with the CBC for Middle School Sailing please register here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RNv98eR_Qgac1ebjg2cta6HO96mMpD28PTomCin45vM/edit?usp=sharing

You can volunteer for a single practice, or multiple.  You will have to do a waiver before you attend.  Volunteering earns you free rentals, access to race night and more with the CBC that's redeemable all summer.

Finally if you're interested in sailing as a career.  Consider our youth internship program - https://www.boatingcenter.org/youth-internship/

None of you need to fill out the reference section.

Additional Sailing Opportunities
There are a few keelboats looking for crew for Thursday night racing.  If this is something you are interested in, please let Sara know.

The summer series regatta sign up is also going live.  Let me know if you are interested in learning more.  http://nwyouthsailing.org/racing/northwest-youth-racing-circuit-nwyrc/

T-Shirts
We're looking at ordering Navy Blue Whatcom Sailing Shirts that will be similar to last year's design.  The cost of these shirts is $25.  Please email me by Friday if you would like one.

Regatta Entrance Fee
There is a $10 regatta entrance fee per sailor. You can bring a check written out to "Anacortes Waterfront Alliance" to the check-in table or pay ahead for your team with the following link: https://checkout.square.site/buy/NHBR75LF2M5JTLDAHJ26U24H
(If you choose to pay online please add your team name to the shipping info so we can keep track)
Please let me know if you have issues covering this charge.

Parking:
The Seafarers Building Parking Lot is very small. We encourage everyone to park at the Northwest Educational Services Building parking lot that is just West of the venue. There is a gate that leads right to the Seafarers building. Trailers can be parked and unloaded in the grass lot NW of the venue.

Boat Launching & Storage
FJs should be staged on the Seafarers Park lawn and will be launched off the end of the rotation dock. Each team is responsible for getting the boats that they brought in the water, with sails partially raised both days of the regatta. If your team would like assistance or you did not bring boats to the regatta please indicate at check in. The pier is narrow and does not have room for two boats on dollys to pass each other. Please instruct your sailors to listen to the designated dock launch coordinates so we can try to make the process as streamlined as possible. Boats can be stored on the Seafarers Park lawn overnight or on team trailers.

Thanks,
Sara
