Hi everyone,
Here is who will be going to WINB regatta next weekend:
Avery, Hazel, Linnea, Marin, Nusret (5 sailors)
If anyone else would like to go, please let me know ASAP and sign up on the regatta spreadsheet. We have space to take up to 3 more sailors.
Carpool drivers:
Anna (4) and Linnea's dad Darrin (4). As of right now, we do not need any additional drivers.
Sailors should bring:
All of their sailing gear (PFD, wetsuit, spare layers, extra socks, towel, etc.), a sleeping bag and sleeping pad, toiletries, homework, a packed lunch for at least Saturday, money for dinner, and packed food or money for breakfast and lunch Sunday, and anything else they need to survive for 48 hours.
Plan:
Drive down Saturday morning EARLY, sail Saturday, then sleep Saturday night at a local sailing family's house in Olympia, sail Sunday, then drive home Sunday evening. We are still waiting on exact regatta schedule to be confirmed by organizers, but sailors should plan to leave Bellingham around 6:30am on Saturday and be home around 7:30pm Sunday.
Who we are staying with:
Katie and John Hurley. Their daughter Caroline Hurley is a coach for the Bellingham Community Boating Center's middle school sailing team.

6:30am Meet at Sehome Hill Haggens- roll call, then get into carpools
6:45am Leave Sehome Hill Haggens
9:45am Arrive at Olympia Community Sailing
10:00am Report time*
11:00am First Start* Rotate and sail throughout day, eat packed lunch on off rotation
5:00pm Done Racing
6:00pm Team Dinner
10:00pm Sleep
Sunday, Sep. 14th
7:30am Wake up
8:15am Leave Hurley's house, get breakfast on the way
8:45am Arrive at Olympia Community Sailing
9:00am Report time*
10:00am First Start* Rotate and sail throughout day, eat packed lunch on off rotation
3:00pm Done Racing*
4:00pm Awards*
4:30pm Drive Home
~7:30pm Arrive to Bellingham, carpools deliver sailors to Sehome Haggens
