Cascadia Cup Final Logistics

Good evening team,

This is our first big team away regatta so I wanted to go over some notes in extra detail.

All sailors and all carpools go to Sehome Haggen (210 36th St, Bellingham, WA 98225) at the start and end of every regatta day unless we are spending the night. We are meeting at Sehome Haggen parking lot tomorrow at 7:15AM. We will have a quick morning meeting with all sailors going over attendance, weather conditions, entry fee payment, boat unloading plan, and carpools.

Sailors can run in Haggen to grab last minute snacks if they want, although there are a lot of shared team snacks and lunch for this regatta (thank you parents!). Check the regatta signup sheet notes section to the right for specifics on what team food there is.

We will be sailing at Sail Sand Point, a community sailing center on Lake Washington in Seattle. The address is Sail Sand Point, 7861 62nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115. Carpools will drive home to Sehome Haggens after the regatta. Boats will stay Saturday night with the host team, then be loaded up and driven home on Sunday evening.

Please have $10 cash (regatta entry fee) to give to coaches at the morning meeting. Coaches will submit the entry fee to the regatta hosts in one big sum. If the regatta registration costs are a barrier, please reach out to us directly, we have scholarships.

All sailors must have the Sail Sand Point Waiver filled out in order to compete. The regatta hosts check each sailor's waiver on Saturday morning. Please have it filled out tonight.

The sailing instructions are available online here. They include the race course diagrams at the end. If any sailors want a physical copy of the race courses to have with them on the water, I recommend printing out the course diagram and putting it in a ziploc bag.

All sailors should bring their sailing gear INCLUDING WETSUIT, a water bottle, spare layers, a change of dry street clothes and a small towel, plus homework or anything else they need for the day.

Let us know if you have any questions. This regatta is a fun one, and we are excited for you all to attend. See you tomorrow morning at Sehome Haggens.

Best,
Cooper and Anna
