Hello sailors and families,
Great job to all of our sailors who competed this past weekend! I am proud of the growth and learning all of you have displayed over this season. Thank you also to the many parents and family members who helped make it happen :)
Sailors, if you haven't already, please fill out the Regatta Debrief Form for this weekend.
We have a shared photo album for each season of sailing. I just uploaded the photos I had from this weekend. Parents or sailors with photos, please feel free to upload and share your photos with the team!
Trick-or-Treat Team Race Oct. 21-Nov.1
Next weekend is our last event of the season, and the first opportunity to practice team racing, a different style of competition that we mostly do in the spring. This year the event was very popular and there were limited spaces, so we could not send everyone.
Sailors: Elliot, Bentley, Dylan, Ezra, Finn, Hazel, Jonah, Laith (8)
Drivers: Bentley's family (6), Dylan's family (2) (8)
Team Bonding Event this Wednesday
The sailing team captains Marin, Errol, and Sotiri have organized the annual sailing team pumpkin carving this Wednesday, October 28th, at 5:30pm after our final team meeting. All sailors are invited, and there is carpooling available from the team meeting on Wednesday to Sotiri's family's house afterwards for those interested. Sailors should talk to their captains for more information- Thank you captains!
End of Season Schedule
This week, October 26-30, is our last week of normal sailing practice, ending at 6:15pm due to sunset.
The following week, practice will end at 5:30pm. We will be winterizing the boats (not sailing) but students should still be dressed warm for the weather. Thursday Nov. 5th will be our last day of practice.
We will also be doing an end-of-season potluck and banquet in the Bellingham Yacht Club basement later in November. Exact date and details to be announced.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Best,
Anna
