Orcas Island Regatta Next

Team,

Wow, what a great day!  Some interesting weather, but we had wind and overall a pretty successful regatta.  Great job sailing and hosting.  We finished 2nd and 4th in the FJ fleet and 1st and 9th in the alpha fleet.  I'll send all results soon.

Awesome job by the parents for such great food and preparation with the lunches.  All the coaches were really impressed and I heard some good comments from the sailors also.

But now we move on to upcoming sailing events,

First, tomorrow we will be practicing some team racing at lakewood with the Portland team.  Please come down at 9:30 if you can, but this practice is not required, just for fun.

Next weekend we are heading to Orcas Island for some racing in V15s. The following are signed up so far:

Robyn, Miles, Liam, Elsa, Clara R, Clara E, Riley G, Zoe, Ben, Victoria, Jeffrey, Kyle, Kara, Sawyer, Jack, Elise  (Let me know if you are missing from this list)

Some details for next weekend: Cost $25 (includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and one dinner sat night), racing on Saturday and Sunday, spending the night Friday and Saturday nights on Orcas Island.  We will leave Friday afternoon, and return Sunday evening.

We do need drivers for this event, so parents please let me know if you are able to come along.

Again, great job to everyone, sailors and parents today!

Scott
