Concussion Baseline Test

Team,

New this year everyone needs to get a concussion baseline test.  This way when you get hit in the head we will have a baseline test to compare with.  The test will be performed after school next Wednesday Sep 20th at Sehome in computer labs 109 and 110.   The test will be performed by the Sehome Athletic Trainer Maggie, so please find and check in with her when you get there.  I need everyone to do this test no matter what grade you are in or what school you attend.  Everyone not from Sehome just get there as soon as you can after school.

If you can not make it next Wednesday please let me know.

Auction Details

Sailors and Parents,

The annual Bellingham Sailing Foundation Youth Sailing Silent Auction is fast approaching. This year the event will be May 13th from 5-9pm.  The event will help fund a new fleet of aging FJs used by the BYC, the High School team, and WWU Sailing.  As members of the team we have some jobs for you to help make this a successful event:

1. Find 1 Auction Item
Each team member is responsible for finding 1 auction item.  The item should ideally have a value over $100 and something that will gather a lot of bids!  Maybe you have friends or relatives who can donate goods or services.  Or you could call up local businesses to see if they will donate items. We have a spreadsheet HERE where we would like you to input all the information about the donated item.  Please double check this spreadsheet before you starting asking businesses so we don't duplicate asks.  Please input your donated item and update the status of that item as you go.  Call me or Mike Powell (310-877-7940) if you have questions.

2. Sell 2 tickets
Each team member is responsible for selling 2 auction tickets.  This could be friends or family or parents.  But ideally someone who would enjoy the auction and want to purchase an item or 7. :) The tickets cost $30 if purchased before May 5, $35 after.  More information can be found here:http://byc.org/event/annual-bsf-youth-fleet-silent-auction-and-salmon-bake/?instance_id=482840

3. Dessert Item
We are planning to have a dessert auction table where bidders can bid on desserts made or purchased by you.  The attached flyer has details.  But please try to come up with a good fancy dessert item for the table.
