Fleet Districts Planning Meeting

This Thursday after practice we will be having a meeting to plan the Bellingham regatta we are hosting May 14-15.  We will have the meeting at the Bellingham Yacht Club downstairs at 6:30pm.  All parents and kids available to help before or during the regatta in any capacity should come so we can divide up the jobs.  This includes registration, dock master, boat repair, snacks, dinner, race committee.  So far the following have signed up:

Registration - Maialisa, Kim, Jessica
Dock Master - Shannon, Kim
Boat Repair - Barry
Snacks - Maialisa, Meghan, Kirstin, Debbie
Dinner - Meghan, Kirstin,, Scarlet, Karen, Debbie
Race Committee - Michael M, Michael L, Bryce

I am estimating about 200 kids.  The entry fee will be $20 per kid so we will have about $4,000 to work with.

The areas I see us needing more help so far are dinner and race committee.

Thanks,

Scott Wilson

Regatta Entrance Fee
There is a $10 regatta entrance fee per sailor. You can bring a check written out to "Anacortes Waterfront Alliance" to the check-in table or pay ahead for your team with the following link: https://checkout.square.site/buy/NHBR75LF2M5JTLDAHJ26U24H
(If you choose to pay online please add your team name to the shipping info so we can keep track)
Please let me know if you have issues covering this charge.

Parking:
The Seafarers Building Parking Lot is very small. We encourage everyone to park at the Northwest Educational Services Building parking lot that is just West of the venue. There is a gate that leads right to the Seafarers building. Trailers can be parked and unloaded in the grass lot NW of the venue.

Boat Launching & Storage
FJs should be staged on the Seafarers Park lawn and will be launched off the end of the rotation dock. Each team is responsible for getting the boats that they brought in the water, with sails partially raised both days of the regatta. If your team would like assistance or you did not bring boats to the regatta please indicate at check in. The pier is narrow and does not have room for two boats on dollys to pass each other. Please instruct your sailors to listen to the designated dock launch coordinates so we can try to make the process as streamlined as possible. Boats can be stored on the Seafarers Park lawn overnight or on team trailers.

Thanks,
Sara
