I wanted to give everyone a heads up of what regattas are coming up and the preliminary list of who will be going.

Sep 28-29 - Keelboat Champs - Max, Natalie S, Emma P, Casey - For this regatta we were only allowed one team from each school and selection was based on resumes.  The Sehome team was selected and will race this weekend.  Wish them luck.  If they win they will qualify for the national event in Florida.

Oct 5-6 - Singlehand Champs - Currently signed up to go are Emma P, Natalie S, and Sammy.  Others are welcome to go if you have laser racing experience and depending on boat availability.  Please let me know if you want to attend by the end of the day tomorrow.

Oct 12 - Regionals - The new plan is we will be hosting this event in Bellingham.  The team going: Alder, Bailey, Britton, Casey, David, Ella, Emma P, Emma W, Evan, Fischer, Forrest, Giselle, Ian, Jack, Josephine, Lauren, Leah A, Mackenzi, Maddie, Max, Maya, Mike, Morgan, Natalie A, Natalie S, Nesta, Olivia, Payton, Reid, Rhone, Sammy, Solstice, Stuart, Talia C, Talia S, Tristan, Willow, Wyatt, Zane.

Oct 19-20 - Cascadia Cup - This event is in Seattle and a 2-day event.  The team I plan to take is: Britton, Emma P, Emma W, Evan, Fischer, Ian, Jack, Katy, Lauren, Leah F, Mackenzi, Maddie, Max, Maya, Morgan, Natalie S, Olivia, Payton, Pearl, Reid, Rhone, Sammy, Talia C, Talia S, Tristan, Willow, Wyatt, Zane.

The last two regattas are Anacortes Team Race Oct 26-27 and Fall Champs Nov 2-3.  We will determine who is going as we get closer.

Regarding homecoming dances:  For those wanting to go to the homecoming dances we will make it work so you can attend the dance.  At Cascadia Cup we will arrange cars to bring those kids back and forth each day.

The team will be staying at the Hubbards house. 3220 77th Ave NE, Olympia, WA.  We have stayed with them before and they are very nice. They have a few rooms to sleep in and a couple beds and couches for parents and coaches.  But everyone should bring all sleeping gear.  Pillow, pad, sleeping bag.

Kids must all stay together, but parents are welcome to get their own accommodations if they want or they can camp at the house with the team.  Please just let me know what your plans are so I can tell the host how many to expect.

Racing starts at 10:30
Racing will happen all day and go to about 4-5pm.  Everyone should pack a lunch for Saturday or there is a farmers market near by that has good food you can grab for lunch.
After racing the team will likely go grab dinner together or in car loads at various places.  Lauren will organize that adventure.
Sunday you will all go out for breakfast and use the farmers market again for lunch.
Racing will go till 3.  The entire team will help load boats and then you will head back to Bellingham.  Probably return home around 7-8pm.
