Re: Ranking Regatta #3 Vashon April 14-15

Hi all,

Thank you to everyone who responded! Sounds like all carpool drivers are leaving Friday- please let us know if you are a driver (listed below) and that is not the case. We will be meeting at the Sehome Haggens at 4:30pm on Friday and driving down to Seattle to catch the ferry to Vashon Island.

Who is going: Aiofe, Atticus, August, Avery, Bella, Campbell, Cole, Emma, Errol, Finn, Frank, Hans S, Hans V, Katy, Keagan, Max, Nate, Oscar, Oz, Sofia, Tide, Tristan, Tyce (23 sailors)

Drivers*: Anna/Cooper and Parents of: Aiofe, Katy, Hans S and Finn, Frank, Nate, and Tide. Totaling 24 spots. Also driving two 3-boat trailers.
*I included parents that are planning on driving only their own sailors just to make sure I know who all is driving there and that everyone is making it. We don't have a lot of extra spaces.

Thank you to parents Karen Woo, Oksana Purpura, and Meghan Carrigan for helping plan group food!

$75 per sailor will cover regatta registration fees, campsite, and group food. Please let us know if you are unable to pay this cost and we will get a scholarship sorted.

Thank you also to the sailors who have viewed the Vashon Regatta Planning Spreadsheet and signed their name on it confirming they know what to bring and the plan for the weekend: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16qth04m0lWlBoCBtRFF19DI1TXt4lC2IgmFxsi7VnW8/edit?usp=sharing

Big, entire team regattas are lots of fun and also lots of moving parts- Let us know if you have any questions!

Best,
Anna

Hi all,

Some updates on the regatta on Vashon Island this weekend:

Carpools: Thanks to those who responded so far and to parents who can drive. We are extremely close to having enough seats for everyone. If any parents are planning on driving their own sailors but cannot drive others, please let us know so we can take your sailor off the list of who needs rides.
We will also be bringing 6 boats (in 2 trailers, borrowing WWU's trailer) to provide enough boats for everyone going.

Camping: We will be tent camping with other teams at AYH ranch on Friday and Saturday night. The team will be staying as a group and we will book as a group once we get the confirmed numbers of sailors and parents attending. Camping is $10 per sailor per night, $20 per adult per night.

Food: The host team, Gig Harbor, is providing dinner on Saturday and breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Any parents wanting dinner should let us know so we can request additional meal tickets from the host.
Our team will do our own group dinner Friday night and lunch both Saturday and Sunday, plus lots of snacks. Thank you to the parents helping plan group food for our team. Group food will be $15 per person for the weekend.

Cost: With group food, camping, the registration fee, and the ferry, sailors should plan to bring $75 to cover weekend costs. Please let us know if this cost is not doable for you or your sailor- we want this event to be accessible to everyone.

Please review this planning spreadsheet which includes a list of what each sailor should bring, and group food and carpool plans (in progress). Please also view the host's Notice of Race (NOR), which includes the daily schedule.

We will continue to update with logistics planning as we hear back from more sailors at practice today, and from parents on driving. It will be super fun to have all skill levels and schools in one place for the weekend!

Best,
Anna

Hi Everyone,

This is a big Gold and Silver Regatta! We are planning on taking everyone who signed up.

Drivers - Woo (3), North (4), Cooper (3), Anna (4). 14 Total.

Team - Aoife, Atticus, August, Avery, Bella, Campbell, Cole, Emma, Errol, Finn, Frank, Hans S, Hans V, Katy, Keagan, Max, Nate, Oscar, Oz, Sofia, Tide, and Tristan. 22 total

We are planning on leaving Friday at 4:30ish due to the ferry schedule. Camping both nights with all the other teams. If you cannot leave Friday afternoon let me know. There might be time in the morning on Saturday to drive down but it would be a very early morning.

Sailors, please reply to this email so I know you can make it. We need to know ASAP if you cannot attend because this will affect the amount of boats we bring.

Parents, please reply to this email if you can drive. We don't have enough spots yet. If you can only leave Saturday morning let me know as I know a lot of you work till 5 on Friday.

The entry fee is $35 per sailor which includes dinner. We can get additional dinner tickets for parents who are attending but I need to know  ASAP.

More logistics to follow shortly.

Thanks,
Cooper
