Cascadia Cup Final Details

Here are the final Cascadia Cup reminders! See you at 7:30 @ Haggen's!

Address of competition (~1.5-2 hrs away):

Sail Sand Point, 7861 62nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115

Carpools:

Drivers Saturday- Eddy (2), Norwood (1), Mora (1), Rosli/Foo (3), Meyer (3), Brewin (1), Hatch (1), Wilcox (1), Baldwin (1), Cooper (3), Coach Anna/Cooper (3)= 20 seats

Drivers Sunday-  Norwood (1), Mora (1), Meyer (3), Brewin (1), Hatch (1), Wilcox (1), Baldwin (1), Morse (3), Neuman (3), Coach Anna/Cooper (3)= 18 seats

All sailors and parents, including those who are driving only their own sailor, will be meeting at the Samish Way Haggen's in the morning. 

Sailors should bring:

1. Sailing gear: PFD, wetsuit, quick-dry clothes, spare layers, extra socks, etc.
2. Packed lunch and snacks for both days
3. Ready-to-sail attitude and learning mindset

Cost:

$10 per sailor for regatta registration (due on Saturday), plus $5/day towards gas money for any sailors carpooling with someone

Sailing Instructions (SIs) + Course Diagram:

Attached below- Sailors should read this before the competitor's meeting on Saturday (10:30am) to become familiar with the course! They usually post the SIs online 24 hrs in advance and will have physical copies printed and posted at the event.

Schedule:

Saturday, Oct. 11th

7:30am Meet at Samish Way Haggen's for attendance + carpools

9:15am Team arrives at Sail Sand Point (SSP) and start unloading boats from trailer

9:45am Rig boats, change into gear, eat a snack

10:30am Competitor's Meeting

10:45am Launch boats

11:15am First Start- Rotate and sail throughout the day, eat packed lunch on off rotation

1:00pm College sailing forum will take place on the pier during racing.

~5:00pm Done Racing (no official end time on Saturday)

~5:30pm Boats derigged, put away boats + tents and head home

~7:00pm Arrive back at Samish Way Haggen's

Sunday, Oct. 12th

7:15am Meet at Samish Way Haggen's

9:00am Report time at SSP. Change into gear, rig boats

10:00am First Start-  Rotate and sail throughout the day, eat packed lunch

3:00pm Last Start- Sailors not racing can change out of sailing clothes, etc. 

3:30pm Derig boats + load up trailer

4:00pm Awards

~4:30pm Head home

~6:00pm Arrive at Samish Way Haggen's
