Anacortes Regional March 14-15: Final Logistics

Good evening everyone,

Thank you to all of the sailors who braved the cold rain today to load up the boats for this weekend's regatta! Here are the final logistics for the Anacortes Regional, March 14-15:

Sailors - Aiofe, Ajax, Avery, Bella, Dora, Fiona, Hazel, Marin, Max D, Max W, Patrick, Sawyer, Sotiri, Tristan, Tyce (15 sailors)


Drivers Saturday - Tamminga (2), Neuman (2), Hatch (4), Cooper (3), Rosli (4), Baldwin (3) - 17 seats

Drivers Sunday - Tamminga (2), Neuman (2), Hatch (4), Wilcox (4), Morse (4) - 15 seats

Thank you to all of the parents and families driving!


Cost - $10/sailor registration fee + $5/sailor/day for gas + $5 for team food = $25 for the weekend!


Team food- the Neuman family will be grilling up hamburgers and brats for Saturday. if any families can bring a team side for Saturday, please let me know!
Sunday will be BYOSLP (bring your own sack lunch please).

I'm still waiting on the waiver info but I will forward it as soon as I hear from the hosts! 

Don't forget - Lots of warm clothes and layers, wetsuit, snacks, water bottle, and Sunday lunch! Also rest up and eat well the night before!

Saturday, March 14th

8:30am Carpools meet at Sehome Hill Haggens (210 36th St., Bellingham, WA)

9:30am Team arrives in Anacortes, unloads boats from trailer

10:15am Team meeting

10:30am Competitor's Meeting

11:00am First Start, racing continues throughout the day. Eat lunch on off rotation

~5:00pm Done for day 

~6:00pm Back in Bellingham


Sunday, March 15th

8:00am Carpools meet at Sehome Hill Haggens

9:00am Team arrives in Anacortes, rigs boats

9:30am Team meeting

10:00am First start

3:00pm No races after

3:30pm Awards

~4:00pm Load trailer

~4:30pm Leave Anacortes

~5:30pm Back in Bellingham


Please note that the end time each day is subject to change- sailors will be asked to communicate with their parents to coordinate pickup times from Sehome Haggens etc. on the way home.


Sailors: Please read through the Notice of Race, which has all of the general regatta information and venue information on it, and the Sailing Instructions, with more specific racing rules and the course map!

Happy Saturday! We are one week out from the Anacortes Regional Regatta next weekend, March 14-15th, at Seafarers Memorial Park in Anacortes! Here are the logistics:

*If any sailors have not signed up yet but want to go, please let me know! This is the first regatta of the season, and we want to send as many sailors as possible! Later in the season, the signup deadline will be more rigid, especially for overnight events.

Thank you to everyone driving! We are light on drivers for Saturday; If anyone else is able to drive on Saturday, please let us know.

Waiver - Mentioned in the Notice of Race but I am waiting on the link from hosts. Once I have it, I will send out ASAP; sailors must fill it out before Saturday morning.


What to bring - Lots of warm clothes and layers, wetsuit, snacks, water bottle, and lunch**!! Wetsuits may be required.


**If any parents are interested in coordinating group snacks or lunch, please let me know. Otherwise, we will plan on each sailor bringing their own sack lunch.
