Good morning everyone,
Thank you for your responses! We will be going down SATURDAY morning, meeting at Sehome Hill Haggens at 6:00am on Saturday and taking the 7:40am ferry from Anacortes to Orcas.
Addresses/ Travel times:
The Anacortes Ferry Terminal is about 1 hour from Bellingham, located at Ferry Terminal Road, Anacortes, WA.
We will be sailing at Orcas Yacht Club in Deer Harbor, located at 876 Deer Harbor Rd, Eastsound, WA. It's about 10 minutes from the ferry terminal and the host knows we will be getting on island right at 8:30.
We are planning to camp at West Beach Resort, located at 190 Waterfront Way, Eastsound, WA. It's about 10 minutes from the Yacht Club and 15 minutes from the ferry terminal.
Ferries:
If drivers could please reserve spots for the 7:40am ferry on Saturday 23rd at that will help ensure we get the ferry on the way there! You have to get there 30 min before the scheduled sailing, which is why we are aiming to get there by 7:00am.
We will hopefully be taking the 5:15pm ferry back to Anacortes on Sunday, but reservations on the way home are unavailable. Reservations for the milk run (the last ferry that goes to all of the islands) are available if drivers want to reserve a spot on the 10:05pm ferry back to Anacortes on Sunday. That way, we will be sure we make it back on that ferry at the latest, although it is likely we will get on an earlier ferry. If we do end up having to wait to take a later ferry, the ferry terminal at Orcas has cell service, bathrooms, and some stores.
Camping:
We do not have to bring boats to this event (thanks to Orcas for providing them all!) but we do have to bring camping gear. If anyone can bring tents let me know. Sailors, please plan to bring a sleeping bag and sleeping pad at least, and possibly a tent if you have one. If anyone does not have a sleeping bag or sleeping pad, please reach out.
There are showers and a firepit at the campsite. The regatta host has said we can hang up sailing gear to dry at the yacht club overnight on Saturday. We are planning to bring group food- if any parents are interested in helping organize food for this let me know!
I'll be in touch with more details as I hear back about tents and group food, and will be updating it in this planning spreadsheet. Please take a look if you are interested.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi all,Sorry for a delay in getting this information out. It was unclear until today how many sailors we could send to each event this weekend. It is also finals week for WWU.As you have heard, we are splitting up into two teams this weekend for team racing. We are sending 6 sailors with Cooper to Olympia for the gold team race clinic, and 11 sailors with Anna to Orcas for a silver team race clinic. There is no gallium (c-team) option for this weekend.Orcas Team - Bella, Hans V, August, Tyce, Avery, Finn, Atticus, Oz, Hans S, Sofia, ErrolDrivers- Errol's parent (4), Hans V's parent (3), and Anna (4). We technically have enough seats, but with camping gear, sleeping bags, and sailing gear, it would be nice to have a fourth driver. If any parents are able, let me know.Costs - Please send $40 with your sailor. This will cover the campsite fee ($10), gas and ferry ($10), and group food ($20).We are working out if we should leave Friday night or Saturday morning. Both options are listed below in italics.
