Women's Clinic This Weekend!

Hi all,

Excited for the clinic this weekend! We loaded up 3 boats at practice today to bring down. This is a combined high school and college event and should be a great opportunity with a bunch of female coaches and sailors from around the PNW.

Schedule:

Saturday, March 9th:

  • 8:00 AM Carpools and sailors all meet at Sehome Hill Haggens (next to I-5). Sailors grab last minute snacks from Haggens and roll call to make sure everyone is there. Check trailer one last time.

  • 8:15 AM Leave Bham headed for Sail Sand Point: 7861 62nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA

  • 10:00 AM Report time. Unload trailer, rig, and change

  • 10:45 AM Skipper's Meeting/Introduction to coaches

  • Lessons ashore and on the water throughout the day

  • 5:00 PM Approximate end time, head home

  • 6:30 PM Back in Bellingham

Sunday, March 10th:

Carpool drivers: Aiofe's parent, able to drive 3 sailors. Coach Anna driving 3 boat trailer and able to drive up to 3 sailors if needed. Katy's parent driving also. No one will be without a ride.

Sailors: Aiofe, Katy, August, Bella (Sat. only), Emma, Sofia, Campbell. 7 Saturday, 6 Sunday.

Cost: The event itself is free! Sailors should bring a little cash if possible to chip in for gas.

What to bring:
  • Sailing gear, water bottle, sack lunch, snacks (able to be tucked in a PFD)
  • A notebook and pens/pencils to take notes
  • A bailer, towel, change of clothes, and a trash bag for wet gear after sailing
Waiver: Sailors must fill out this waiver before attending: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5a6a4392ca618/web/

Parents are welcome to stay and watch (the pier at SSP has great views), but be warned that sailors will be on the water for long sessions instead of rotating ashore like at regattas. I will be bringing binoculars for anyone watching from the pier!

Please let me know if you have any questions! See you at the Sehome Hill Haggen's at 8am on Saturday :)

Best,
Anna Morrow
